National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa has consistently ranked 90th for NITs and among engineering colleges in India in NIRF 2023 in South Goa (See NIT Goa’s official Placement Brochure). The Institute has been maintaining a record in placements with participation from leading national and multinational recruiters.  

NIT Goa has a large alumni network of distinguished individuals. For example,  a notable alumnus, Mansoor Rahimat Khan, Co-founder & CEO, Beatoven.ai, and alumnus from the 2011–15 batch, who was invited as Guest of Honour for the 10th Convocation, highlighted that NIT Goa is developing a reputation for quality education, engagement with industry, and collaborative leadership among alumni. 

The 2024-25 placement season at National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa continued in its positive direction, with BTech and MTech students showing a great deal of promise. Training & Placement Cell (T&PC) hosted some top companies such as Mphasis, L&T, Amazon, Deloitte, and Wipro. BTech students have been placed at a rate of 75.83%, while MTech student's placement rate showed over 91.66%. All this indicates the healthy engagement with industry from NIT Goa and organizational skills of the students.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Goa follows a well-structured placement process managed by its Training & Placement Cell. The procedure ensures smooth coordination between companies and students, from invitation to final selection. It involves company registration, job announcements, resume shortlisting, interviews, and offer rollouts, providing students with equal opportunities to secure placements with reputed recruiters across industries. 

Step-by-Step Procedure: 

• T&P Cell invites companies to the campus. 

• Companies submit the Job Announcement Form (JAF). 

• JAF details are shared with students. 

• Resumes are forwarded for shortlisting. 

• Shortlisted candidates are informed in advance. 

• Campus interview dates are finalized mutually. 

• Companies conduct PPTs, tests, Group Discussions, and interviews. 

• Final selected and waitlisted candidates are announced. 

• Students are registered, with waitlist movement as per company policy.
