The average and median salary package increased by 25% while the overall average rose by 28%. Among its distinguished alumni is Dr. Mihir M. Desai, a renowned academic at Harvard Business School, reflecting IIT Gandhinagar’s reputation. 

IIT Gandhinagar witnessed a placement drive in 2023-24, with noticeable growth in offers, participation and salary trends. The Career Development Services (CDS) approach 2000 organisations, placement rate of over 71% with a strong showing from PG programmes.
