For undergraduate programs like BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages or Integrated B.Sc.–M.Sc. courses, students must appear for CUET-UG. Admissions are managed through CUET counselling conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria and secure the required cutoff.
Cutoff scores vary by course and category. Popular courses like BA (Hons) in Foreign Languages and B.Sc.–M.Sc. Integrated programs generally require higher CUET-UG scores due to limited seats and high demand.
PG courses such as MA, M.Sc., MCA, and MBA are offered through CUET-PG. Candidates must register for CUET-PG, qualify with a valid score, and then participate in AMU’s counselling process. For certain programs like MBA (Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma Business School), additional components like GD/PI may be conducted.
Yes, AMU admits international students through the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA), ICCR scholarships, and other exchange programs. These candidates are often not required to take CUET and may apply through a separate international admission window.
For UG and PG programs, CUET-UG and CUET-PG are mandatory. However, research programs (Ph.D./M.Phil.) may have separate entrance tests conducted by AMU or exemptions for candidates with UGC-NET/JRF, GATE, or equivalent qualifications.
Application fees differ by program and category. Typically, CUET applications cost ₹250–₹650 depending on the number of subjects chosen, while AMU-specific Ph.D./M.Phil. applications usually cost around ₹300–₹800.
CUET-UG and CUET-PG application forms are usually released by NTA between February–March 2025. For Ph.D./M.Phil. and other research programs, AMU typically opens applications around April–May 2025.
For UG and PG programs through CUET, there is no interview since the admission is purely score-based. However, for Ph.D./M.Phil. and research programs, shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for a personal interview or viva-voce.
For MCA, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks and must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level. Admission is based on CUET-PG performance in the MCA paper.
For Ph.D. programs, candidates must hold a relevant master's degree with at least 55% marks. Selection is usually through AMU’s entrance exam and interview. However, candidates with UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR-NET, GATE, or equivalent qualifications are often exempted from the entrance test and may be shortlisted directly for the interview.
