NSOU Admissions 2025

Netaji Subhas Open University is a premier State Open University in India. The year 1997 marked the centenary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's birth. The Chief Minister of West Bengal announced at a State function that an Open University would be set up soon and dedicated to Netaji's hallowed memory.

Admission Overview

Latest Update - NSOU, West Bengal, has recently inaugurated its OER Repository in collaboration with the Centre for Online Education to increase the study resources available on the internet.

The University started functioning with effect from the July 1998 Semester, only with the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Arts & Commerce, to provide an opportunity for higher education in the vernacular medium to various disadvantaged groups of aspiring learners

Scholarships

NSOU provides scholarships designed to assist students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. 

Bayer Fellowship Program

  1. Who can Apply - Students enrolled in the first year of Master's/Ph.D. Program
  2. Benefit - A monthly stipend of Rs. 20,000/- for the Master's Program and Rs. 40,000/- for the Ph.D. Program.
