Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) was established in 1998 in Allahabad, now known as Prayagraj is one of the most prestigious open learning institutes in Uttar Pradesh. Named after Bharat Ratna Rajarshi Purushottam Das Tandon.

UPRTOU conducts admissions twice a year, for the January and July sessions. The academic calendar is released on the official website. The University currently provides 70+ ODL (Online Distance Learning) courses to students across Uttar Pradesh. The Admission Process is mainly online, which consists of registering on the portal, creating an ID, and then filling out the form
