    Digital Marketing is an emerging field, which means it is still evolving. Thus, to be a successful Digital Marketer, only degrees and certifications aren’t enough. You need to have a strong passion for learning, researching, and discovering new trends in both the market and the digital domain. Here are a few simple steps to help you become a Digital Marketer:
    Ideal educational qualifications:
    • First, get a Bachelor’s degree (any specialization will do, but if you are interested in Marketing, perhaps BBA will be the right choice).

    The average salary for a professional in the Digital Marketing industry in Mumbai, India is INR 637,200. At the entry-level, as a fresher, a professional earns an average salary of around Rs 485,549, however, this is only a temporary stop in a long and financially rewarding career.
    Once a professional completes half a decade in the industry, during which the payment will be reliable, at the mid-career level, an experienced Digital Market Team Lead can make anywhere between INR 766,733 to INR 832,145. This, too, continues to increase as a person accrues more experience in the industry. After all, marketing is heavily influenced by certain trends, and it takes an experienced eye to be able to spot them!
    Beyond this level, at the level of a Digital Marketing Manager or Digital Marketing Strategist, the pay is significantly higher, coming in around INR 15 to 20 Lacs, with scope for improvement, depending on the organization of one’s employment. Once you have made an impression in this position, the next level of designations will open up for you. These include Content Editor, Digital Designer, Email Executive, or Social Media Executive, depending on the organisation for which you work. Now, your ideational capability will be regarded sufficiently, and so will your time management skills - so make sure you keep these qualities in check. At the step after this, you can become a Social Media Manager, UX Manager, or Content Manager, depending on where you work. And for this, you will have to know how to manage various teams and make them meet targets. Moreover, you will also need effective report writing skills.
    The next level of designations beyond this, will demand from you significant qualities of innovation and motivational leadership, and this next set of positions includes those of SEO Head, Content Head, or Social Media Head. After this, there are only two levels open - Digital Marketing Head, which demands over a decade of practical experience as well as results, and the final level - that of the Chief Marketing Officer!
