  • Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline.

  • Candidates will need to take the 30-minute JMAT Online National Level entrance exam. The link to the test is sent after candidates submit their application. Candidates with more than 50% aggregate score in their graduation will be exempted from the JMAT exam.

FAQ related to O.P Jindal MBA Program

1. Who is this program for?

This 1 year MBA for working professionals and  freshers is designed for those who are looking for a transition into managerial and leadership roles, take up larger responsibilities within their organization and make impactful decisions with the right management tools taught in an MBA.

Post successful completion of this 1 year MBA program, you will get an MBA degree certificate and an additional specialisation certificate from O.P. Jindal Global University. Learners who do a general MBA will not be awarded a specialisation certificate.

If you have opted for the Career Acceleration Program (CAP) offered by upGrad at the time of your enrollment for the Program, you will receive a separate offer letter for CAP within 48 hours of making payment towards the caution amount specified in the attached offer letter. 

The program fee for CAP will be payable in Indian Rupees (INR). If you are making the payment from outside India or converting the fee into another currency for reference, it is advisable to refer to the prevailing exchange rate on the date of payment, as exchange rates may fluctuate. 

1. Will I be able to complete this program being a busy working professional?

The program is specially designed for working professionals to enable effective learning while they continue their jobs. Recorded content can be consumed on the website or mobile application on the go while the Live classes are scheduled on weekends at convenient times so you can attend them easily.

Examination

JGBS follows an internal Examination policy, wherein the course instructors who teach the courses to students evaluate them during the semester through internal assessments.

Assessments will be both formative and summative. The purpose of formative assessment is to provide feedback to the students on their work in order to enhance their learning and help them achieve the course's intended learning outcomes. The purpose of summative assessment is to allocate appropriate grades.

JGBS examination evaluation mechanism consists mainly of two following mechanisms:

  • Every course will have 2 evaluating component
  • 50% will be internal quizzes
  • 50% will be external proctored end-term exam
  • Experiential learning will have submissions planned across the term

Internal assessments and end-term exams are mandatory. To be declared 'Pass' in each subject, a student needs to submit the internal assessment/exam and appear for the Term-End exam, and obtain the passing criterion. Before the start of every course, the students will be notified if they need to submit the internal assessments or exams. The term end exam is a common component for every course. The passing criterion for passing the course is 40% including the internal assessment and the final exam. The passing criterion for the final end-term exam is 30%.

Our programs have a strong experiential or practical component that will prepare you to apply your learning on the job. Learn - Experience - Apply. Case Studies and industry projects will help you to experience real-life challenges in Management. These will enable you to step into the shoes of leading managers at companies and put to use the theoretical learning in an experiential manner. Post this program, these will serve as a portfolio of projects you can illustrate to advance your career.

1. What is the refund and deferral policy for this program?

Refund Policy:

1. You can claim a refund for the amount paid towards the Program within the timeline shared in the Offer Letter, by visiting www.upgrad.com and submitting your refund form via the "My Application" section under your profile. You can request your Admissions Counsellor to help you in applying and withdrawing for a refund by sending them an email with reasons listed. There shall be no refund applicable once the program has started. This is applicable even for those students who could not complete their payment, and could not be enrolled in the batch opted for. However, the student can avail pre-deferral as per the policy defined below for the same.

2. Student must pay the full fee within seven (7) days of payment of the deposit amount or Batch Start Date, whichever is earlier; otherwise, the admission letter will be rescinded.

3. Request for refund as per point no. 1 of the refund policy must be sent via email in the prescribed refund request form. The refund will be processed within 30 working days of submitting the duly signed refund form, after being duly approved by the Academic Committee.
